Children in Need 2016
The children came to school wearing ‘Spots’ for the day. we raised £185.10. Thank you to all children and parents who donated to this years event.

Thank you to everyone who bought a poppy for this year’s appeal. We raised £72.60.
Marie Curie Daffodils
All children planted a yellow daffodil in aid of Marie Curie charity. A donation of £79.55 has been sent to the chairty – thank you to all who sent in their small change.
Comic Relief – Red Nose Day 2014
Broomfield held a non-uniform day and sold red noses in aid of the charity. We raised £403.40 – thank you for your support.
Samaritans Purse – Shoebox Appeal
Classes collected items to fill shoeboxes which will be sent to other Christian children to help them celebrate Christmas. The school held a cake sale and raised £37 which was enough to send 12 shoeboxes. Thank you!
Children in Need 2014
Each class covered their superhero picture with loose change. The total raised (once counted) was £206.48. Thank you to all who donated their coins and for Year 6 for bagging it all up. Thankfully East Goscote Post Office were able to weigh all the money to check it!
Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal 2014
Broomfield sold poppies and raised £33.89 for the annual appeal.
Text Ellis
Broomfield children raised £250 for Text Ellis. Ellis is related to two of our pupils and in November 2011 was diagnosed with MECP2 Duplication Syndrome, a rare chromosome disorder. Ellis’ Dad (the uncle of our pupils) cycled to every Leicester City away match to raise money for the charity also.
Sport Relief 2014
It was lovely to see so many children and their families running and walking around the school perimeter for Sport Relief. The event raised a super £180.70 for the charity.
Pre-Loved Sale
Thank you to everyone who supported this event in December 2013. Broomfield’s school council representatives wanted to raise something for the people affected by Typhoon Haiyan. The event raised £15 for the British Red Cross and £15 for FOBS.
Christmas Jumper Day – Save the Children
Children and staff jazzed up their jumpers with baubles, tinsel and other Christmas treats to raise money for Save the Children charity. The event raised a fab-u-lous £167.40.

Children and staff swapped their school uniform for onesies for the day and raised £146.35.
Poppy Appeal
Thank you to everyone who bought poppies in aid of The Royal British Legion. The school raised £26.90.
Vista Bright for Sight Day
Children and staff wore their brightest coloured clothes in aid of Vista, a local charity which supports children with sight loss. The event raised £109.57.
Give Hunger the Boot – Fill your wellies with pennies
Our chosen charity for 2013/14 is Farm Africa. Our school council will be coming up with ideas for fundraising, starting with filling a welly boot full of unwanted coins. Produce will also be sold after our Harvest Festival on Friday, 4th October in aid of this charity.UPDATE!!!!! The produce sale raised £55.45 – Thank you to all who contributed and stocked up their cupboards!UPDATE!!!!! Children from each class have been counting up all those pennies and two-pences. The final figure should be known early next week. The total was £160.44
