Pupil Voice
Pupil voice is very important to us at Broomfield. We try and find different ways of finding out what the children think about our school and what they think can be improved.

House Captains
Our House Captains are elected from our Year 6 children every year. They have to firstly write a manifesto explaining why they would make good House Captains. This is then presented to the rest of the class who vote for their own House candidate. In democratic style, the children with the most votes are elected.
The House Captains collect and share house points each week. They also take it in turns to present children with the Star of the Week awards in assembly on Friday. Other responsibilities are organising activities and competitions and meeting and greeting families and visitors.
School Council
Our School Council members are elected from our children in Y2 – Y6. They meet regularly with Mrs Parish and identify themes for assembly as well as tackling wider issues. Please see the School Council section for more information.
We value the views and opinions of the our children at Broomfield. At our recent curriculum audit, we asked them to describe our school using just one word. This is the result!
